Lydia? is a housecarl obtained upon completion of the quest Dragon Rising inThe Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.? She receives the title of Housecarl from Jarl Balgruff The Great in Dragonsreach immediately after the Dragonborn is promoted to the title of Thane. As Housecarl, she is sworn to protect the Dragonborn with her life, and to carry his or her burdens.

- Although wary of her at first, as he was afraid of Lydia being the Skyrim-equivalent of Stupid Bitch.? After a few videos Cody soon began to slightly hate Lydia because she is a useless companion unlike Franz.
